The Story in Art - Reading the Visual, Artists as Storytellers
28th May to 2nd July
We are delighted, courtesy of the heroic efforts of Rob Shaer (see Blackhorse Workshop), that Ron's brand new, big, bold and very beautiful large-scale metal Alphabet, in red, will be premiered at the excellent Candida Stevens Fine Art gallery from this Friday as part of The Story in Art - Reading the Visual, artists as storytellers exhibition and will remain there until 2nd July.

Other work by Ron includes Tabernacle, Anansi Company and the very last bound edition of his dramatic version of Macbeth (in Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year). Featured alongside fellow artists Lorenzo Belenguer, Pippa Blake, Sarka Darton, Isobel Egan, Alice Kettle, Chitra Merchant and Chris Orr RA, The Story in Art, curated by Candida Stevens, explores the role of artists as storytellers, through the visual narrative. A commensurate teller of tales himself this is a show that naturally suits Ron's art and practices. You can read more in the show catalogue, which includes intriguing interviews with each artist to tell us their stories ...
