Hello…
… from the blustery, wind-swept shores of the creek ! It's certainly kept Ron in his studio as he prepares for Livres d'artistes: The Artist's Book in Theory and Practice.
As you can see, the work has been packed and is now being transported to Cardiff. Once there, participants will be able to handle a wide selection of Circle Press books, as well as hear Ron speak. Also included is a selection from the Circle Press Library that features work by Patrick Caulfield, Harold Pinter/Harold Cohen, Karen Bleitz, Ken Campbell and Sam Winston, amongst others. It is a great chance to get up close to these works.
The conference, inspired by Ron's donation of the Circle Press collection, is a celebration not only of its work but an in-depth look at the conception and creation of artists' books, both past and present. It promises to be a stimulating event and hopefully inspiring to some future artists now experimenting with the genre.
