Alphabets, Bandits & Collaborations
A brand new solo show of Ron's work is to be exhibited with Goldmark Art this May. Filling an unprecedented two floors of their gallery, this impressive exhibition takes a look at his multi-faceted, creative and inspiring 60 years of work.
Alongside the work, a special film will premiere that features Ron discussing his work and and life. Art historian Mel Gooding, who describes Ron's work as 'singular' and an artist who has "... always been free to do what he felt like doing, or what he saw was a possibility', provides additional insight and comment. Here's a taster of what you will experience:
A dedicated, exhibition catalogue, by writer and art critic Andrew Lambrith, will also be available and looks at Ron's artistic output and legacy.
Finally, to mark this special occasion, Goldmark Art have commissioned Ron to create an exclusive, special edition of his well-known Alphabet poster in both hand-painted blue and red (limited 25) plus a new white version (limited 50).
Ron will be at the Goldmark Gallery opening on Saturday 27th April, with family members, between 10am and 5pm. If you would like to come along for his talk, a glass of wine and light lunch please contact us for an invitation. Otherwise, visit Goldmark Art to view the work, see the full film or to buy your own Ron King piece for your real viewing enjoyment.
